ABP Budget Conclave | Budget 2021 Will Be Rocket Booster For Covid-Hit Economy: BJP's Jayant Sinha

While speaking exclusively in ABP News's e-Conclave, the former minister Jayant Sinha said that the new budget promises to spend highly on sectors such as health and infrastructure, which will aid in pushing through other concerns, majorly employment.

A day after unveiling of the much-awaited Union Budget, former Union Minister and the Chairman of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance, Jayant Sinha said that the Budget 2021-22 will word as a rocket booster in the economy, will increase employment and investment in the country.

While speaking exclusively in ABP News' Budget Conclave, the former minister said that the new budget promises to spend highly on sectors such as health and infrastructure, which will aid in pushing through other concerns, majorly employment.

Speaking of the agricultural sector, Jayant Sinha said that the government is transferring money directly into the accounts of farmers. "The government has taken special care of the farmers in the budget. Also, farmers are being benefited from the Kisan Fund," the BJP member of Parliament minister said.

He went on to say that the government in the budget 2021-22 has taken several reform measures in terms of banking, NPA, insurance and investment which will help revive the economy.

"An investment of five and a half lakh crores is going to happen. With this, crores of people will get jobs and at the same time the country's economy will get back on track, which had fallen due to Corona epidemic," Jayant Sinha said.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday presented her third Union Budget in the Parliament which the government said to be all inclusive and major step towards 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat'.

In her two-hour long Budget speech, FM Sitharaman laid focus on driving economic recovery through higher spending on sectors such as healthcare and infrastructure.
