E-Factor Experiences Weaved Magical Mélange of Odia Language with Orissa’s Art & Culture at Ekamra Utsav 2024
As the Ekamra Utsav 2024's turnkey producer, E-Factor pulled out all the stops to curate an unforgettable experience highlighting the rich legacy of language, arts, crafts and cuisine in the region.
Bhubaneswar, Orissa - February 10, 2024: E-Factor Experiences recently orchestrated a spectacular 7-day cultural extravaganza for the Ekamra Utsav 2024 in Bhubaneswar. This lively festival coincided with the historic Biswa Odia Bhasha Sammilani conference, which brought over 10,000 linguists, scholars, and Odia language enthusiasts together from across Orissa and the world.
As the festival's turnkey producer, E-Factor pulled out all the stops to curate an unforgettable experience highlighting the rich legacy of language, arts, crafts and cuisine in the region. Over 50+ event professionals worked tirelessly behind the scenes, contributing 10,000+ hours across 10 cities to transform Bhubaneswar into a vibrant celebration of Odia culture.
Across 5 parallel venues spanning 500,000+ square feet, E-Factor produced 100+ hours of live entertainment on 3 stages. Over 800 talented performers brought the festival to life, from college bands to mainstream stars like Sanam Puri and Sonu Nigam. Odissi dancers graced the stages alongside Bollywood singer Jubin Nautiyal and a 160+ member troupe led by Padmashree Aruna Mohanty.
The festival honored over 25 Odia cinema legends for their contributions to promoting the Odia language through film. It also gave up-and-coming Odia singers like Diptirekha and Ananya Sritam Nanda a chance to share the spotlight with big names like Sona Mohapatra.
Beyond music and dance, Ekamra Utsav offered an array of cultural experiences for visitors. At the lively Ama Byanjan Food Zone, Odia masterchefs gave cooking demos while 20+ local restaurants served up over 200 tantalizing regional dishes. Shoppers perused the Ekamra Haat flea market, buying handicrafts and art from 60+ craftsmen.
For literary fans, BhuFesTo presented 60+ hours of Odia storytelling from 30 artists. 70+ schools and 20+ slums participated to make the festival inclusive for all. Guided Ekamra Walks gave 400+ attendees a chance to explore hidden cultural gems across temples, museums and more.
Other highlights included the magical Mo Bhasha, Mo Gouraba exhibition, synchronized musical fireworks, and a breathtaking 200+ drone show paying tribute to Odia culture against Bhubaneswar's night sky.
