Tata Altroz Racer Launch Date: How Much Will This Hot Hatch Cost?

The Altroz Racer will come with a 1.2 litre turbo petrol engine which develops 118bhp while it will exclusively be available with a 6- speed manual gearbox

Tata Motors will launch the Altroz Racer performance hatchback on the 7th of June and it is a performance oriented version of the Altroz hatchback. The Altroz Racer will come with a 1.2 litre turbo petrol engine which develops 118bhp while it will exclusively be available with a 6- speed manual gearbox.

There are three variants namely R1, R2 and R3. That said, Tata Motors will equip the car with a sportier sounding exhaust which will give it a louder engine note when compared to standard Altroz turbo. It remains to be seen whether the Altroz Racer will get a tuned suspension or a tweaked steering. That said the other big feature update comes from the new 10.25 inch touchscreen system which comes with the latest infotainment system from Tata Motors.

The Altroz Racer will compete with the likes of the Hyundai i20 Nline while it will also rival the likes of the Maruti Fronx which also comes with a turbo petrol plus other sub compact SUVs which come with this type of powertrain. The Altroz Racer was first previewed as a concept and now we get the production version while a review of this car will be coming soon as we will drive it post it's launch.
