Vastu Tips: Things You Should Remove From Your Home To Get Rid Of Negative Energy

Explore essential Vastu tips for a harmonious home temple. Learn what to include and avoid to maximize positive energy.

Vastu Tips For The Temple At Home: Vastu Shastra emphasises the significance of every space in a home, with special importance given to the temple or place of worship. The home temple is considered crucial as it emits the most positive energy in the house, leading to blessings for the family members. However, certain practices related to the temple may result in negative energy. Let's explore some Vastu guidelines associated with the home temple.

Remove these items from around the temple:

  • Avoid placing photos of ancestors near the home temple, as it is considered inauspicious. Placing such photos near the temple is seen as disrespecting the deities. If you have such pictures, relocate them, preferably facing south.
  • Do not keep old religious books around the home temple, as it can increase negative energy in the house. Additionally, avoid keeping withered or dried flowers in the temple area, as it is believed to bring negativity. Remove such items if present.
  • Some people place multiple conch shells in the home temple. According to Vastu Shastra, having more than one conch shell brings Vastu dosha. To receive the blessings of deities, it's advised to keep only one conch shell in the home temple.
  • Avoid placing the idol or image of Lord Shani in the home temple, as it is believed to bring negative influences to the household members. Similarly, do not keep any fierce or wrathful deity's representation in the temple.
  • Do not place damaged or broken idols or images in or around the home temple. Such items are believed to spread negative energy. Also, ensure that the Shiva Lingam in the temple is not larger than the size of the thumb.
  • Never store clutter or heavy items around the home temple. Only keep properly arranged and consecrated idols and images in the temple. Avoid accumulating leftover worship materials like flowers, sweets, or incense ashes in the temple.
