WATCH: YSRCP MLA Slaps Voter At Booth In Tenali During Andhra Pradesh Assembly Elections

In Andhra Pradesh, voting is underway for both the state Assembly elections and the fourth phase of Lok Sabha Elections2024.

During Andhra Pradesh assembly elections, YSRCP MLA and candidate A Sivakumar reportedly slapped a voter in Tenali, Guntur on Monday. The altercation arose when the voter, waiting in line to cast his vote, objected to the MLA's attempt to skip ahead in the queue. Subsequently, the MLA physically attacked the voter.

In Andhra Pradesh, voting is underway for both the state Assembly elections and the fourth phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2024.

According to ANI, YSRCP MLA and candidate for state assembly elections, A Sivakumar attacks a voter in Tenali, Guntur. The voter, who was standing in a queue to cast his vote, objected to the MLA's attempt to jump the line and cast his vote without waiting. The MLA, in turn, physically assaulted the voter.

Following this, TDP has given a complaint to the Election Commission over the incident. The police also are in the process of filing a case regarding the incident.

Meanwhile, violence allegations involving both TDP and YSRCP supporters have been reported at several locations across the state, particularly in Palnadu, Kadapa, and Annamayya districts.

In Dalavaipalli village, located within the Railway Kodur constituency, an EVM was reportedly destroyed. A police official confirmed damage to cars associated with both the ruling party and TDP. Furthermore, a TDP agent was assaulted at Nakkaladinne village in the Myduruku constituency, leading to his hospitalization, according to a report on PTI.
