The MLA complained about the phone tapping but added that he had been using numerous phones and was fully aware that he had been under monitoring for a while.

"Pegasus software is being used to monitor me. You can appoint an IPS officer to monitor my activities in the constituency. Intelligence and Special Branch personnel are also monitoring the activities in some of the MLAs' offices. "Police are attending every press conference of the legislators and informing higher authorities of the same," he said.

"For the past three months, three intelligence agents have been listening in on my phone calls and attending my press conferences. I openly comment on anyone, and there is no secret agenda behind my chats," he stated.

Sridhar Reddy criticised senior official Rawat at a district review meeting in December 2022 for failing to respond to his pleas for the release of funds for development projects in his constituency.
