Visakhapatnam To Be Capital Of Andhra Pradesh, CM Jagan Mohan Reddy Announces
Andhra Pradesh Capital: CM Jagan Mohan Reddy said the state capital will be shifted to Visakhapatnam.
Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday announced that the city of Visakhapatnam will be the capital of the state.
Speaking at the International Diplomatic Alliance meet in Delhi, CM Jagan said, “I am here to invite you all to Vishakapatnam, which is going to be our capital in the days to come. I will also be shifting to Vishakapatnam in the months to come. We are organising this Global Investor’s Summit there on March 3 and 4,” he said.

CM Jagan expressed gratitude to everyone who invested in Andhra Pradesh. He assured the investors that he was ready to provide any kind of support on behalf of the government to set up industries. He said that Andhra Pradesh has a long coastal belt and is the fastest-growing in the country with a growth rate of 11.43 per cent.
The CM said that the Andhra Pradesh government gives permission to industries within 21 days through a single desk system.
Earlier, CM Jagan had made it clear that the future of the state was in decentralised development, proposing Visakhapatnam as the seat of the state administration. As the state's headquarters, it will also be the base of the state's governor, while the legislature will function from Amaravati. He had said the high court would be moved to Kurnool.
