Ex-Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu received a grand welcome from his supporters as he arrived at his Vijayawada home after spending 53 days in jail in the Skill Development Scam case.
Former Andhra Pradesh CM and TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu arrived at his residence in Vijayawada following his release on bail in the Skill Development Scam Case. The former CM received a grand welcome from supporters with loud music, sheers and showers of flowers. He walked out of Rajahmundry jail on Tuesday after the Andhra Pradesh High Court granted him interim bail in the Skill Development Scam case.
Naidu was released after 53 days after the HC allowed him to undergo cataract surgery, news agency PTI reported. The bail has been granted for four weeks. The court directed Naidu to appear before the Superintendent of the central prison in Rajamahendravaram on or before November 28.

On Tuesday, Naidu expressed his gratitude to the supporters for demonstrating unwavering solidarity during his incarceration. He said, “When I was in trouble, you all came on the roads and prayed for me. I will never forget the affection shown to me, not only in Andhra Pradesh but also in Telangana and across the world,” as reported by the news agency ANI.

In the order, the court noted the humanitarian perspective and the importance of ensuring that individuals in need of medical attention receive timely and comprehensive treatment. Also, it highlighted the right of the patient to choose the medical facility for their treatment. As part of the bail conditions, Naidu is required to provide a bail bond of Rs.1,00,000 along with two sureties of the same amount, to the satisfaction of the Trial Court. He must also submit details of the treatment he received and the hospital where he underwent the procedure in a sealed cover to the Superintendent of the Central Prison upon his surrender.
