Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Orders Rs 5,000 Post-Delivery Financial Support To Women
Chief Minister directed the authorities to focus on providing cancer detection at the village level, from PHCs, village clinics, and ward clinics.
Hyderabad: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy held a review meeting on Monday with the Medical and Health officials and directed the officials to provide post-delivery financial support of Rs 5,000 to women under Arogya Aasara for both normal and caesarean deliveries.
After discussing with medical experts and physicians, CM Jagan directed the government to bring more medical treatments under Arogyasri Scheme. According to officials, 2,446 procedures have been made available, with the programmes costing over Rs 270 crore per month for the schemes. Besides that, Rs 25 crore is spent every month to administer the 104 and 108 ambulance services, while Rs 35 crore is spent on Arogya Aasara.
The officials said the government is spending about Rs 4,000 crore on YSR Aarogyasri and its allied activities. Regarding Ayushman Bharat, the authorities stated that Rs 223 crore was granted by the Centre last year and estimated that Rs 360 crore would be given in the current year.
The Chief Minister emphasised that the importance of making Arogyasri more transparent by depositing the funds straight into the beneficiary's account and then processing the payment to the hospital via auto-debit without causing any trouble. He told the officers to take the necessary steps to ensure that the process went smoothly.

Following a review of village clinics, ward clinics, and the construction of new hospitals, the chief minister directed the authorities to complete the work within the given deadline. Officials reported that 977 PHCs, village clinics, and ward clinics have been restored, and that building on new ones is nearing completion.
