Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Reddy Directs Officials To Ensure Average Wage Of Rs. 240 Under MNREGS

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has instructed the officials to ensure that the average wage under MNREGS was Rs 240. CM Jagan held a video conference on the 'Spandana' programme on Tuesday and issued key directives to district collectors, SPs, and other officials from the camp office.

He further discussed about the housing scheme for the poor, 'Nadu-Nedu' works in schools and hospitals, and 'Jagananna Bhu Hakku-Bhu Raksha' schemes, among others.

Chief Minister lauded the officials for making good progress with the employment guarantee programme and noted that all districts in the state are adding an average of 117 per cent more workdays each year. He then instructed the staff to pay particular attention to the Annamayya, Vizianagaram, Anantapuram, and Alluri Sitarama Raju districts to raise their average workdays. He instructed the staff to focus on raising the job guarantee scheme's minimum wage from Rs 205 to Rs 240 per day.

CM Jagan ordered officials to speed up the construction of secretariats, Rythu Bharosa Kendras, digital libraries and health clinics. The CM said that fiber optic cable will reach 4,500 villages by December to increase internet connectivity. Steps should be taken to complete the construction of digital libraries in the sanctioned 3,966 villages by the end of December.

Officials have been instructed to maintain quality in 'Nadu-Nedu' works with careful supervision and complete them on schedule. He urged them to use SMF and TMF Funds in schools for maintenance and repair activities.

After reviewing Disha App, CM Jagan directed the officials to concentrate on taking the mobile application to every woman and told them to review it fortnightly. He instructed the police to concentrate on colleges, institutions, and schools and to hold practice drills.

Additionally, he gave the officials instructions to thoroughly check the house documents that had already been issued to ensure that all beneficiaries had gotten the land deed.
