The Chief Minister also launched 4,019 YSR Yantra Seva Kendras, which will serve as service centers for the maintenance and repair of farm machinery.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday flagged off tractors, combine harvesters, and other farm machinery worth Rs 361.29 crore as part of the second phase of the YSR Yantra Seva Scheme. The initiative aims to provide support and assistance to farmers in the state by offering them modern machinery and equipment to enhance agricultural productivity. During the event, the Chief Minister also launched 4,019 YSR Yantra Seva Kendras, which will serve as service centres for the maintenance and repair of farm machinery.

As part of the scheme, the Chief Minister handed over 2,562 tractors, 100 combine harvesters, and 3,573 farm machines to the RBKs-attached farmers' groups. The government is offering a 40 percent subsidy on the purchase of these machines, while 50 percent of the cost is arranged through loans. The groups are asked to pay the remaining 10 percent of the cost.

During the event, the Chief Minister released Rs 125.48 crore of subsidy directly into the bank accounts of farmers' groups through a digital process. This ensures the efficient and transparent distribution of financial assistance.

He said that the tractors, harvesters, and other machinery will be made available to 10,444 RBKs, and their operations will be supervised by cluster-level Community Hiring Centres (CHCs). In the first phase of the YSR Yantra Seva Scheme, the state government provided 3,800 tractors, 391 combine harvesters, and 22,580 farm machines worth Rs 690.87 crore to farmer groups working under 6,525 RBKs.

The Chief Minister also announced the upcoming launch of the YSR Yantra Seva App, which will enable farmers to access services conveniently through their RBKs. Furthermore, in October, the government plans to distribute sprayers, tarpaulins, and breeders, benefiting around 7 lakh farmers in the state. These initiatives demonstrate the government's commitment to supporting farmers and improving agricultural practises in Andhra Pradesh, the CM said.
