PML-N, PPP left no money to run country: Imran Khan

Islamabad [Pakistan], Jul 13 (ANI): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Friday hit out at the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), saying that both the parties pushed the country into heavy debt.

Khan underlined that such time has come that there is no money left to run Pakistan.

While campaigning for the forthcoming Pakistan General Election, Khan in Islamabad said the country is now bound to take credit as it does not have money to pay for its expenses.

"They took charge of the country one after the other. They should be asked how the country slipped under such heavy debts. There is so much corruption that we do not have money to run the country. In last 10 year, Pakistan's debts went from PKR. 6,000 Arab to PKR 27,000 Arab," Khan said.

Khan further vowed to eradicate corruption from the country.

He also lambasted convicted former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and former president Asif Zardari and said he will not misuse the country's money like them.

"Whatever money will be collected will be spent on the people, health system and for the development of the country. The other two parties would not do the same," Khan said.

The general elections in Pakistan are scheduled to be held on July 25. (ANI)
