Here's how Kate Middleton's wedding dress was kept a secret

London [UK], Nov 27 (ANI): It has been six years since Kate Middleton and Prince William's wedding, but everyone still talks about her gorgeous Alexander McQueen gown.

And now one of the dressmakers is spilling the beans on how difficult it was to keep the look of Duchess of Cambridge a secret until the big day, according to The Mirror.

"We knew who it was for, but it was a secret - we had net curtains up and cleaners were not allowed into the room and the code on the door was changed. The dress was all in the news, but nobody knew who was doing it," noted Ewing.

In an interview with a leading UK publication, Mandy Ewing revealed that being on the dress-making team a "once in a lifetime opportunity" after a recent visit to the Royal School of Needlework by Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.

She explained, "When you're working, you just focus on it and try not think about what's in the news. But it was an exciting event and everybody loved working on it - it was a once in a lifetime opportunity."

Middleton's wedding gown was once again brought to the spotlight after Camilla Parker-Bowles' visit to the Royal School of Needlework, where Ewing is one of the embroiderers.

The Duchess of Cornwall tried her hand at embroidering during the visit and joked that she would "leave it to the experts." (ANI)
