Former US president George HW Bush hospitalized

New York [U.S.A.], Apr. 24 (ANI): Just days after the death of his wife Barbara, former United States president George H. W. Bush has been admitted to a hospital in Houston.

"President Bush was admitted to the Houston Methodist Hospital yesterday morning after contracting an infection that spread to his blood. He is responding to treatments and appears to be recovering. We will issue additional updates as events warrant," CNN quoted spokesman Jim McGrath as saying.

"He is responding to treatments and appears to be recovering," another statement read.

Bush's wife and the former first lady of the United States passed away on April 17 in Houston. (ANI)
