A journalist asked Rahul Gandhi why was he fighting from Wayanad when Left was upset. Rahul Gandhi said that the South India feels hostility from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. And him contesting from Wayanad in Kerala will give assurance to southern India that Congress party is with them. "I wanted to send a message to south India that we are with you and I am standing with you. That is why I am standing from Kerala," he said.
