Several states in India are currently experiencing severe flood-like conditions, with heavy rainfall warnings issued for today in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, and Tripura. In Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, the Shipra River has once again surged, inundating all the ghats and temples along its banks. The river's rise has led to a halt in religious ceremonies and restricted public access to the area. Shahdol is also suffering from the aftermath of heavy rains, with water flooding the lower areas. The road from Shahdol to Umaria has been closed due to the rising water levels, and national highways and railway tracks are submerged. In Jalore, Rajasthan, the heavy flow from mountain streams has caused five pilgrims to be swept away by the torrents, resulting in one death and three rescues by the police. The severe weather conditions have caused significant disruption and pose ongoing risks to affected communities.
