PM Modi Kicks Off 3-State Tour Ahead of Assembly Election, To Visit Jharkhand, Odisha, and Gujarat
Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will gift the nation seven new Vande Bharat trains. He will flag off the Tatanagar-Patna Vande Bharat Express from Jamshedpur's Tatanagar Railway Station and inaugurate six other trains via video conferencing. In addition to the Vande Bharat trains, PM Modi will also lay the foundation stones for several key infrastructure projects, including bypass lines, a coaching depot, doubling of tracks, and subway inaugurations. Anil Kumar Mishra, General Manager of South Eastern Railway, shared that the new Vande Bharat trains will enhance connectivity across Jharkhand. Routes include Rourkela-Howrah, Howrah-Rourkela, Barhampur-Tatanagar, and Deoghar-Varanasi. The Tatanagar-Patna Vande Bharat Express will officially depart at 10:15 AM today, with regular service scheduled for 5:30 AM. PM Modi’s three-day tour also includes significant developments for Gujarat, Jharkhand, and Odisha. He will inaugurate India’s first 'Vande Metro' between Bhuj and Ahmedabad on Monday, and on September 17, he will visit Odisha to lay the foundation for projects worth over ₹3,800 crore. Women are playing a crucial role in the Vande Bharat initiative. Female pilot Ritik expressed her excitement about operating the train, emphasizing the empowerment brought about by PM Modi’s initiatives. SS Munda, a Vande Bharat train driver from Ranchi, highlighted the train's user-friendly features and national pride in the Indian-made Vande Bharat trains.
