Major Accident In Navi Mumbai As 3-Storey Building Collapses; Rescue Work Underway | ABP News

In a tragic incident in Navi Mumbai, a three-story building named 'Indira Niwas' has collapsed. The building, located in Shahbaz village, part of Navi Mumbai's CBD Belapur area, fell at approximately 4:35 AM on Saturday, July 27. The collapse has raised concerns about several individuals potentially being trapped under the debris. Upon receiving news of the disaster, teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Mumbai Police, Fire Department, and local municipal authorities swiftly arrived at the scene to commence rescue operations. The immediate response has focused on locating and rescuing those believed to be trapped in the wreckage. The building, which consisted of a ground floor plus three additional stories, was a residential structure. The collapse has led to significant apprehension regarding the safety of the residents, with preliminary reports indicating that at least two individuals might be buried under the debris. Rescue teams are working tirelessly to navigate the rubble and provide aid to the victims, as efforts continue to assess and address the full extent of the damage.
