Falcon 9 Rocket Launch Delayed Again After Liquid Oxygen Leak, Subhanshu Shukla's Mission On Hold
The much-anticipated space mission involving Indian astronaut Subhanshu Shukla has been delayed once again—this time due to a detected liquid oxygen leak in the Falcon 9 rocket. The issue was discovered just before the final launch sequence, forcing authorities to postpone the mission for the fourth time. The launch was to take Subhanshu Shukla, along with astronauts from the US, Poland, and Hungary, to the International Space Station (ISS).This mission holds historical significance for India as Subhanshu Shukla is set to become the second Indian to travel to space after Rakesh Sharma, who flew aboard a Soviet spacecraft in 1984. Shukla has also been selected for India's indigenous Gaganyaan space mission, making his upcoming journey especially symbolic. The delay due to the oxygen leak has raised technical safety concerns, but mission teams are expected to resolve the issue soon. Despite the setback, the excitement around India's representation in an international space mission remains high. Subhanshu is also poised to be the first Indian astronaut aboard the ISS, making this a landmark moment in India's space exploration journey.
