Congress slams BJP's Hegde for his comments on Gandhi | ABP Special
Congress party has hit out at BJP member of Parliament Anant Kumar Hegde for his comments on Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi. Former Union Minister Hegde had attacked Mahatma Gandhi while addressing an event in Bengaluru, and termed the freedom movement as drama, questioning how such people could be called Mahatma.
Congress leader, Surjewala attacked Hegde via his tweet. "This is Modi's 'India', where every day there are attacks on Bapu's thoughts and path, will there be action on Hegde?" Surjewala wrote. While Congress spokesperson Jaiveer Shergill said that the BJP should be named as Nathuram Godse Party.
