Chidambaram attacks Modi govt, asks how will MSP be assured

Former Finance Minister P Chidambaram has launched an attack against the Narendra Modi government over the agrarian bills which were passed in Rajya Sabha recently. He asked how the MSP can be assured to the farmers without the data. He tweeted, "Agriculture Minister says that the government will guarantee that the farmer will get MSP. Private trade takes place even today. The price paid to the farmer is invariably less than MSP. If the Agriculture Minister can magically ensure MSP, why has he not done that so far?"
