Mumbai Police, like in other parts of the country, is taking strict action against Bangladeshi citizens residing illegally in the city. The police have adopted a firm stance against individuals staying without proper documentation. Joint Commissioner of Police (Law and Order), Satyanarayan Chaudhary, in an exclusive conversation with ABP News, stated that 195 cases have been registered this year against illegal Bangladeshi residents in Mumbai. As part of this crackdown, a total of 278 Bangladeshi nationals have been arrested. This reflects the Mumbai Police's determination to address the issue of unauthorized stays by foreign nationals and to maintain law and order while preventing further illegal entries into the city.
