Air India Plane Crashes Inside Ahmedabad Airport; Fire Under Control, Debris Scattered Across Site

A massive aviation disaster has occurred at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad, where an Air India passenger aircraft reportedly crashed either during takeoff or landing. The flight, en route to London, was carrying 242 passengers.Initial visuals from the crash site show a severely damaged aircraft with debris scattered across the area. One of the wings appears to have broken off, and parts of the aircraft are charred. The crash is said to have occurred inside the airport perimeter, near the boundary wall, which also appears damaged.Emergency response teams, including firefighters, security forces, and quick reaction teams (QRT), are actively working at the scene. Officials report that the fire has been brought under control, though the area remains tense and chaotic. The immediate priority has been fire suppression and search-and-rescue efforts.Eyewitness images depict a disturbing scene of destruction. While the exact cause of the crash and the aircraft model are yet to be confirmed, the incident is being described as one of the most severe in recent years.Air India has issued an emergency helpline.
