Illegal portion of a 3-star hotel in Ujjain was demolished using explosives by Ujjain Municipal Corporation (UMC) on Wednesday.
Hotel Shanti Palace and Clarks-In, reportedly built at a cost of Rs 20 crore, had 100 rooms and was situated at the main Ujjain-Indore four-lane highway. However, the land was procured illegally and was originally meant for a residential colony.
