Delhi Election 2025: Delhi's Jat Community Places Strong Trust in BJP, Gives Full Support with Votes
The Delhi Assembly elections have sparked a fierce competition between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), raising several questions in the political landscape. BJP secured a significant victory with strong support from the Jat community, particularly in areas that were once AAP strongholds. While AAP received 43.6% of the vote, the 2% margin was reflected in the seat disparity, as BJP managed to secure a larger share of seats. Following AAP's defeat, questions have been raised about Arvind Kejriwal's leadership, especially regarding the promises made during his tenure. Allegations of corruption have intensified, with accusations related to his extravagant lifestyle and expensive tastes. On the other hand, BJP effectively communicated its strategies and promises to the public, leading to a decisive victory. Now, AAP finds itself in the role of the opposition, with 22 legislators, strengthening its position as a formidable opposition party. In contrast, Congress's position in Delhi politics has weakened further, and it seems to be edging toward political irrelevance. AAP’s strong presence as the opposition is now forcing Congress to accept its diminished role in Delhi’s political future.
