According to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), the issue arose when two trains arrived simultaneously at Jama Masjid station, leading to a large crowd gathering at the turnstiles.

DMRC’s Statement on the Irregularity

"Due to this, a huge crowd gathered at the exit gate and the exit gate stopped working at that very moment," the DMRC said in an official statement. In response to the congestion, the crowd was directed to a side gate, where passengers were seen jumping over the gate. Some individuals also began making noise, adding to the confusion. Despite the brief disruption, the situation was quickly brought under control, and the crowd dispersed shortly thereafter. "Security personnel and other staff were adequately present to advise such passengers and the situation never went out of control," DMRC clarified.

The video, which has been widely circulated, also appears to have been edited, with added sound effects, including the noise of a metro train and background music. However, DMRC emphasized that similar incidents had occurred before, and no formal complaints had been filed following the episode.Delhi Police, who monitor security at Metro stations, also confirmed that no complaints have been lodged.
