Bystanders try to persuade the wife to let go of his collar, but the couple continue to yell and exchange insults at each other. The heated argument escalated into a physical altercation, and the police were forced to intervene and took the couple to the police station. Her family members and passersby attempt to de-escalate the situation but fail.

According to News18, Rashmi Devi and Dharmveer Kumar have been married for seven years and have two children. Devi has alleged that her husband would often assault her whenever she asked for money for household expenses, because of this she accused him of being involved with a relative.

Devi was reportedly on her way to the police station to file a complaint against her husband when Kumar intercepted her in an attempt to stop her. Upon encountering him, she allegedly began verbally abusing and physically attacking him.
