Bengaluru Mother Drives Uber To Recover Covid Loss, Pic With Daughter In Car Wins Hearts

An app cab driver carrying her baby with her while on work in Bengaluru has gone viral and is receiving immense appreciation for the determination and the fighting spirit she has shown. The story of the woman was shared by Rahul Sasi, co-founder and CEO of CloudSEK on his LinkedIn profile after which it became viral.
"Last day, when my friend booked an Uber for me, this lady came to pick me up. After the ride started, I noticed a kid sleeping in the front seat. I could not resist asking : Mam, is that your daughter," Sasi posted on LinkedIn.
He goes on to give some information on the woman, Nandani and writes that she wanted to be an entrepreneur and also started a business but the Covid-19 Pandemic smashed her dreams.

"Post that, she started driving for Uber. She wanted to be an entrepreneur, and she started a food truck a few years back with all her savings. But then covid hit, and she lost all the money invested," he further wrote.
Sasi also said that the woman is working 12 hours a day and wants to rebuild whatever she lost during the pandemic.
"She works 12 hours a day and tells me she doesn’t mind working more if she has to. She wanted to save money and rebuild everything she had lost."
The incident has not only won the hearts of the people but Uber India has offered to extend help to Nandini.
"Thank you for sharing Rahul Sasi. Our team will be in touch with you to see how we can support her more," replied Prabhjeet Singh, president, Uber India & South Asia on Sasi's post.
