Weather Update: IMD Predicts Moderate Rainfall in Telugu States For Next 2-3 Days

The Amaravati Meteorological Department has forecast light to moderate rains in one or two places in Rayalaseema on Friday.

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states are likely to receive light to moderate rains on Thursday, predicted Meteorological Department officials.

According to the Meteorological Department in Amaravati, the surface period in the southwestern Bay of Bengal and its environs extends up to 1.5 km above average sea level. Accordingly, the Amaravati Meteorological Department has released weather forecasts for Andhra Pradesh for the next three days. 

Light to moderate showers are likely in the northern coastal and Yanam areas for another two days from Thursday. Tomorrow light to moderate rains are likely in many places. Also, lightning and thunderstorms are likely to occur in one or two places.

The southern coastal Andhra Pradesh is also likely to receive light to moderate rains in some places on Thursday. Tomorrow, light to moderate rains are likely in many places. Thunderstorms and lightning are also possible in one or two places.

Heavy rains have already been falling in some parts of Telangana for three days. Hailstorms are also expected in some places. According to the Hyderabad Meteorological Department, light to moderate rains is likely in most parts of the state on January 13. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain and thunder and lightning in Telangana districts. Authorities expected the rains to continue until the 17th. A yellow alert was also issued.
