Designs Of Vande Bharat Are Better Than That Of Aeroplane: Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw

Vande Bharat Express Train: While stating that the development of the nation and railway is above politics, the union minister said, "PM Modi is giving Telangana Rs 3,500 crore."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Sunday flagged off the eighth Vande Bharat Express train from Secunderabad to Visakhapatnam. After PM Modi flagged off the train, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said that Vande Bharat express trains designs are better than that of aeroplanes and that the trains can provide the most comfortable travelling.

"Vande Bharat is an outstanding train. It can travel 0-100 km in 52 seconds, whereas other trains in the world take 54 to 60 seconds. Designs of Vande Bharat are even better than that of aeroplane, it can provide at most comfortable travelling," Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said as quoted by news agency ANI.

While stating that the development of the nation and railway is above politics, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said, "PM Modi is giving Telangana Rs 3,500 crore. we must use this opportunity and develop railways in Telangana in the best possible way.

"Secunderabad will be developed into a world-class station. PM Modi has sanctioned Rs 720 cr for this station along with that 35 other stations in Telangana will be developed."

Besides Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Tourism Minister, G Krishna Reddy was also present during the event. 

The Vande Bharat train will cover a distance of 700 kilometres and will have stoppages at Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry and Vijayawada stations in Andhra Pradesh and at Khammam, Warangal and Secunderabad stations in Telangana.
