TRS Announces Prabhakar Reddy As Munugode By-Election Candidate

Prabhakar Reddy is the Munugode constituency in charge and has been working for the party's welfare since its inception.

Telangana Rashtra Samiti chief and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao announced Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy as the party candidate for the Munugode by-election, on Friday. The Munugode Assembly seat became vacant after the resignation of Congress MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy on August 8.

Reddy submitted his resignation after joining BJP during a public event in Munugode in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

According to the ABP Desam report, while choosing the candidate, CM KCR carefully examined public opinion polls and surveys. It appears that all of them backed Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy.

Prabhakar Reddy was also in-charge Munugode constituency and has been working for the party's welfare since its inception.

Prabhakar Reddy worked as the in-charge of the Munugode constituency in 2003. Later, he was elected to the legislative assembly from the Maheshwaram constituency in 2009 and 2014. In 2018, he contested from the Munugode constituency and lost by a slender majority.
