WATCH | Rape & Murder Accused Of 6-Year-Old In Hyderabad To Be 'Killed In Encounter', Says TRS Minister Malla Reddy

The Hyderabad police on Tuesday announced reward of Rs 10 lakh for the person helping them in nabbing the accused

Hyderabad: Amidst huge uproar from several quarters for Police failure in nabbing the six-year-old rape and murder accused even after five days of inhumane incident, TRS leader Malla Reddy on Wednesday said that the rapist will be encountered.

Police and the Telangana government have also come under fire for failing to nab the accused so far. Telangana Labor Minister Mallareddy made remarks in this regard. Speaking to media, Malla Reddy said that the accused would be caught, encountered and dumped.

Meanwhile, another TRS Minister KT Rama Rao, apologised for taking misformation of the rape accused being arrested to Twitter. The rape and murder of a six-year-old minor happened on September 9 (Thursday) and the Hyderabad police on Tuesday announced reward of Rs 10 lakh for person giving information and the whereabouts of the accused.

In a release, the Hyderabad police have given descriptive particulars about the fugitive sexual offender and mentioned that the person giving them information would get huge cash rewards. However, Police in ten teams are conducting raids in Hyderabad, Nalgonda and Rangareddy districts.

The incident took place on September 9, according to police, the accused identified as Raju is a 30-year-old man was a family neighbour and he had befriended the six-year-old before comitting the crime. The girl was found dead in his house on the same day.
