Telangana: Officials Issue Third Warning As Godavari In Spate At Bhadrachalam
The flood flow in Godavari river reached 14 lakh 92 thousand 679 cusecs at Bhadrachalam.
Hyderabad: The Godavari River crossed the 53-foot danger level at Bhadrachalam on Tuesday night as heavy rainfalls continued to batter the catchment districts. The flood flow in river Godavari reached 14.92 lakh cusecs at Bhadrachalam. Due to this, the authorities issued a third danger alert.
The district authorities issued a new flood alert for the low-lying areas encompassing nine Mandals, including Burgampadu, Dummugudem, and Charla, and the areas along the floodplains of the river.
The main road from Bhadrachalam to Charla came to a complete standstill due to the flood water flowing in large quantities. The highway from Bhadrachalam to Chhattisgarh and Odisha regions was completely blocked due to flood water at Nellipaka. Kukunoor and Velerupadu mandals in the Eluru district were also submerged.

Second Danger Alert At Dowleswaram Barrage
A second danger alert is still in effect at Dowleswaram barrage. A total of 3 State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and 3 National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams entered the field as part of relief operations in flooded villages. NDRF teams are engaged in operations in Koonavaram of Alluri Seetharamaraju district and Jangareddy Gudem of Eluru district. SDRF teams are deployed in VR Puram in the East Godavari district.
Krishna River In Spate
Krishna river also continued to be in spate. While the inflow and outflow at Prakasam barrage are 3.15 lakh cusecs, the flood flow is being released into the Vamsadhara-Nagavali rivers. Officials advise the people of the river basin to remain alert until the flood flow recedes completely.
