Telangana Finance Minister Harish Rao Presents Rs 2.56 Lakh Crore Budget

The minister said that the other state governments will implement the policies followed by Telangana.

Hyderabad: Telangana Finance Minister T Harish Rao presented the budget in the Assembly on Monday. He commented that Telangana has been at the forefront of the country in a short time since the formation of a separate state. The Telangana Finance Minister presented a Rs 2.56 lakh crore budget with a Revenue Expenditure of Rs 1.89 lakh crore while capital expenditure was Rs. 29.728 lakh crores.

Here is the fund allocation of Telangana Budget 2022-23 Rs 2,56,958.51 crores.

Allocation Of Funds

Agricultural sector: Rs 24,254 crores
Aasara  Pensions Scheme: Rs 11,728 crores
Kalyana Lakshmi, Shadi Mubarak Schemes: Rs 2,750 crores
Double Bedroom Housing Scheme: Rs 12,000 crores
Dalita Bandhu Scheme: Rs 17,700 crores
Mana Ooru Mana Badi Programme: Rs 7,289 crores
For The Welfare Of Scheduled Tribes: Rs 12,565 crores
Urban Development: Rs 1,394 crores
For the Welfare of BCs: Rs 5,698 crores
For the Welfare of Brahmins: Rs 177 crores
Rural Development: Rs 3,330 crores
For Forest University: Rs 100 crores
Haritha Haram Program: Rs 932 crores
For Roads & Buildings: Rs 1,542 crores.

During the session, Harish Rao reiterated that they have increased wealth with financial discipline by implementing transparent policies like TS iPass, TS-bPASS, Dharani, Digital Money Transfer without resorting to corruption.

He further said that the TRS government had adopted an uncompromising attitude in the administration. The benefit of each scheme is directly credited into the accounts of the beneficiaries, he added.

The minister said that the other state governments will implement the policies followed by Telangana. He reminded that a budget is not a set of digits but to express the hopes and aspirations of the people.

He criticised that the Center has discriminated against Telangana since its formation as a state. The Centre has not provided any special incentives to progressive states like Telangana, he opined.
