Telangana: Congress Office Set Ablaze In Munugode Assembly Constituency
TPCC president Revanth Reddy expressed anguish over the incident and demanded the police to arrest those responsible within 24 hours
Unknown miscreants set the Congress party office on fire in Chandur Mandal of the Munugode constituency, causing damage to the office and campaign materials on Monday. The by-election for the Munugode Assembly constituency in Telangana is scheduled On November 3.
TPCC president Revanth Reddy expressed anguish over the incident and demanded the police to arrest those responsible within 24 hours. Incase of police's failure he asserted that he would personally sit on dharna outside the office of the Superintendent of Police (SP) to demand justice.
Revanth Reddy held an impressive show in Chandur a few days ago to support the party's candidate Palvai Sravanthi. He was also scheduled to campaign on Tuesday.
He said that the BJP and TRS were unable to digest the Congress party's support in the district and were attempting to demoralise the Congress cadre by engaging in such violent acts. Reddy criticised that the central and state ruling parties, BJP and TRS, are jointly making strategies and creating hurdles for the campaign of the Congress party candidate.
The BJP's nominee for the Munugode Assembly bypoll in Telangana, Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy, filed his nomination on Monday.

BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar, BJP general secretary Tarun Chug, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy and party MLAs Eatala Rajender and Raghunandan Rao accompanied Rajagopal Reddy when he went to the office of returning officer in Chandur to submit his nomination papers.
Rajagopal Reddy reached the office of returning officer as his supporters held a huge rally.
Telangana State Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao has been campaigning from house to house on Tuesday in Chandur as a part of the Munugode constituency by-election. Along with Minister Errabelli, local public representatives, party leaders, and activists were present in the campaign.
