Telangana: Bypoll In Munugode Assembly Constituency On November 3
A Gazette notification in this regard will be issued on October 7, and the last date for filing nominations will be October 14.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Monday announced that the bypoll for the Munugode Assembly constituency in Telangana would be held on November 3. The panel also announced bypolls to six other vacant Assembly seats in five states.

The other constituencies where bypolls will be conducted on the same day are Andheri East in Maharashtra, Mokama and Gopalganj in Bihar, Adampur in Haryana, Gola Gokran Nath in Uttar Pradesh and Dhamnagar in Odisha.

The Munugode Assembly seat became vacant due to the resignation of Congress MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy on August 8. Reddy joined the BJP during a public event in Munugode in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Meanwhile, the Congress has fielded Palvai Sravanthi as the party's candidate for the upcoming Munugode bypoll in Telangana.
Palvai Sravanthi is the daughter of late Congress veteran Palvai Govardhan Reddy, who was a five-time MLA from the same constituency and represented Telangana in the Rajya Sabha as an MP.
Palvai Sravanti contested from the Munugode constituency as a Congress candidate in the 2014 election but couldn't be successful. TRS candidate Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy defeated her.
Munugode Assembly constituency has seven mandals, two municipalities, 176-gram panchayats and 288 polling booths.
