Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Says 'Confident' Of 10-Year Tenure, Challenges KCR

Stating that it was the responsibility of the state to create livelihood opportunities, Revanth Reddy said that he would work for the next 10 years tirelessly for the welfare of the youth.

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy expressed confidence in retaining the CM's position for the next decade and dismissed BRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao's assertion that his party would regain power.

CM Revanth asserted that whether Rao emphasized ascending to power, the youth, now employed, would question the former CM's actions and accuse him of plundering the state and prioritizing his family's interests. He made these remarks at an event where he distributed appointment letters to newly recruited police constables.

"He (Rao) says he will come (to power) again. How can you come? You say you are not able to walk and move in a wheelchair. How can you come?" Reddy said, as per PTI.

Stating that it was the responsibility of the state to create livelihood opportunities in public and private sectors, Revanth Reddy said that he would work for the next 10 years tirelessly for the welfare of the youth.

"I will be in this position for 10 years. If you bless, 'Indirama Rajyam' (welfare rule of former PM Indira Gandhi) would be there for another 10 years," he said, as per the report.

Telangana CM challenged KCR and said, "Chandrasekhar Rao, I am throwing this straight challenge at you. You (Rao) say you will come to power soon. Let's see how you will come. I am here and I will see what you are up to."

Revanth Reddy pointed out that Rao is absent from the ongoing Assembly session but addressed a party public meeting in Nalgonda on Tuesday. Alleging that Rao failed to secure Telangana's share of water and complete essential projects despite a decade in power, the Chief Minister criticized him for criticizing the government despite being in office for only 69 days.
