PM Modi To Visit Telangana, To Lay Foundation Stone For Projects Worth Rs 6,100 Cr On July 8
Before attending the events, Modi will visit the renowned Bhadrakali temple in the Warangal district and is also expected to address a public meeting.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Telangana on Saturday to lay the foundation stone for several significant infrastructure development projects in Warangal. The projects, totalling approximately Rs 6,100 crore, aim to bolster the region's infrastructure. Prior to attending the events, Modi will visit the renowned Bhadrakali temple in the district and is expected to address a public meeting.
One of the key projects for which the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone is the railway wagon manufacturing unit in Kazipet. The unit, with a budget of over Rs 500 crore, will enhance wagon manufacturing capacity and contribute to local employment generation. Additionally, it is expected to promote the development of ancillary units in the surrounding areas.
G Kishan Reddy, the newly appointed state BJP president and Union Minister, along with senior leaders, has already arrived in Warangal to oversee the preparations for the Prime Minister's visit.
In anticipation of Modi's visit and the public meeting, extensive security arrangements have been implemented by the Telangana police. The Director General of Police, Anjani Kumar, held a video conference review meeting with the Warangal Commissioner and other senior police officials to ensure smooth security operations during the visit.
The DGP emphasized the need for coordination among relevant departments to ensure a glitch-free visit by the Prime Minister. Warangal Police Commissioner A. V. Ranganath stated that senior police officers have been assigned as in-charges, and armed security arrangements have been made at Mamunur, Bhadrakali Temple, and Arts College, which are on the Prime Minister's itinerary for Saturday.
Ranganath informed PTI that over 3,500 police personnel will be deployed to oversee the security arrangements. A traffic advisory has already been issued, and Warangal has been declared a no-fly zone from July 6 to July 8 in light of the Prime Minister's visit.
