Hyderabad BJP MLA Raja Singh Arrested For Alleged Derogatory Remarks Against Prophet Muhammad

Hyderabad city taskforce and Shahinayathgunj police on Tuesday arrested BJP MLA T Raja Singh for his alleged derogatory comments against Prophet Muhammad. Tension prevailed in certain areas of Hyderabad after alleged blasphemy by Raja Singh.
Protests erupted and several police complaints were filed against the BJP MLA for his alleged remarks against Prophet Muhammad in his latest uploaded video. The public came out and a heavy crowd gathering was seen at Dabeerpura, Bhavani Nagar, Reinbazar, and Mirchowk police stations. People showed their anger against Raja Singh for hurting the sentiments of the individual community and demanded immediate arrest.
Case booked in the Dabeerpura Police Station U/s 295(a), 153(a) and other sections.

Earlier, Raja Singh had announced that if the police allow Munawar Faruqui's show, who disrespected Hindu God, he will also make a similar comment and he should not be held responsible for it.

Meanwhile, Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT) spokesperson Ajmadullah Khan warned the TRS government of not getting votes from Muslim community in the upcoming Assembly elections. The MBT spokesperson said that Raja Singh should not only be arrested but should be booked under PD Act and he should be given rigorous imprisonment for at least two years for alleged derogatory comments against Prophet Muhammad. "If you are not taking stern action against Raja Singh, none of the Muslim votes will go for TRS government in the upcoming 2023 Assembly elections," said MBT spokesperson, Ajmadullah Khan.
