Former Telangana Deputy CM Mahmood Ali was immediately taken to the hospital by the party ranks.

Mahmood took over the role of the home minister after the victory of BRS, then TRS, in 2018 elections.

Former Telangana Deputy CM Mahmood Ali fainted during Republic Day 2024 celebrations at Telangana Bhawan in Hyderabad on Friday. They immediately rushed him to the hospital by BRS party members.

According to ANI, Former Telangana Deputy CM Mahmood Ali faints during #RepublicDay2024 celebrations at Telangana Bhawan.

A video of the incident circulated widely on social media showed the leader in an unconscious state. The other BRS leaders including KTR were seen trying to help him regain consciousness.

After the establishment of the Telangana state in 2014, he assumed the role of the first deputy chief minister and held the position until 2018. He took over the role of the home minister after the victory of BRS, then TRS, in 2018 elections. 

On Friday, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy hoisted the national flag at his residence and paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi and BR Ambedkar. Subsequently, he also honoured the sacrifices of war heroes at the Veerula Sainik memorial located at the Parade Grounds.

Various political parties in Telangana celebrated Republic Day at their respective party offices. Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka paid his respects to the portraits of Mahatma Gandhi, Ambedkar, Jawaharlal Nehru, and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at Gandhi Bhavan, the state headquarters of the Congress party.

As part of the Republic Day celebrations, BRS Working President K T Rama Rao hoisted the national flag at the party's headquarters. Simultaneously, Rajya Sabha member and BJP OBC Morcha president K Laxman unfurled the national flag at the party's state headquarters.

AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi unfurled the tricolour at Madina Circle here, the party said.
