The social media account of Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan on X, formerly known as Twitter, was hacked, police said on Wednesday. Before the incident, Tamilisai Soundararajan posted images of her celebrating Pongal in Puducherry's Raj Nivas and Makar Sankranti in Telangana's Raj Bhavan over the weekend.
Three days ago, according to a report on PTI, the X account of Tamilisai was hacked and unauthorized messages were posted on it. Following this, Raj Bhavan officials gave a complaint to the cybercrime unit of Hyderabad police.
Based on the complaint, the Hyderabad cybercrime unit registered a case and the investigation is in progress, according to sources.
On January 14, when PM Modi celebrated Pongal at the residence of MoS L Murugan in Delhi, Puducherry Lt Governor and Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan was also present. Taking to Facebook, Tamilisai said, "Hon'ble PMO India Shri. Narendra Modi ji graceful presence and greetings on the Occasion of #Pongal celebrations at Hon'ble Union Minister of State Shri.Dr.L.Murugan Residence New Delhi. Immensely grateful to Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri.Narendra Modi ji for being a great admirer of Tamil culture and Tamil language."

On Monday, Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan also came down against DMK MP TR Baalu for labeling the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony at Ram Temple in Ayodhya as a 'political event'. The governor questioned the opposition's intentions for not participating in the event and accused them of politicising a 'sacred festival'. Tamilisai also provided historical instances, pointing to the engagement of Tamil kings and emperors in the construction and celebration of temples.
