Ahead Of PM Modi’s Hyderabad Visit, Elaborate Arrangements Made In View Of Punjab Security Breach

The move assumes significance in view of the security breach during Prime Minister Modi’s recent visit to Punjab.

New Delhi: Elaborate security arrangements will be in place for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Hyderabad on Saturday.

The move assumes significance in view of the security breach during Prime Minister Modi’s recent visit to Punjab.

At least 7,000 police personnel, including central teams, will be deployed for Prime Minister Modi’s visit during which he will attend two programs on the outskirts of Hyderabad city, Times Now reported.

The Prime Minister’s security personnel have taken control of both venues. In tune with the same, the officials from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) have in coordination with the state police prepared route maps and other security details.

Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar and Director General of Police (DGP) M. Mahender Reddy are also reviewing the arrangements for the Prime Minister’s visit.

Prime Minister Modi will land at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad, about 24 kilometres south of Hyderabad.

He will then fly to Patancheru in the neighbouring Sangareddy district to visit the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) campus at Patancheru.

The Prime Minister will fly back to the airport after the event and then proceed by road to Muchintal in Rangareddy district to unveil the Statue of Equality at Ramanujacharya Asharam.

He will then fly back to the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport for his return to the national capital.

Earlier last month, Prime Minister Modi’s convoy was stuck on a flyover in Ferozepur, Punjab, for nearly 20 minutes because of a protest by the farmers.

The cavalcade was stuck and private cars were seen approaching, which was a major security breach.
