Twitter Payout: X Premium Users Share Screenshots Of Getting Paid In Lakhs Over Impressions, But There Are Certain Catches
Eligible X Premium users will need to achieve more than 15 million tweet impressions in the past three months.
Twitter, now known as X, is apparently rewarding its premium users with substantial advertising earnings. This action, which has been widely celebrated by enthusiastic users, particularly favours members of the X Premium tier who have achieved a minimum of 15 million impressions over a span of three months.
A significant number of X Premium users, easily recognisable by the blue verification checkmark adjacent to their usernames, enthusiastically shared screenshots and jubilant updates.
Got a little surprise from Elon today - my first Twitter payout.

Pretty cool to see creators being rewarded.
Good move. Maybe likes are cash after all? pic.twitter.com/7XIRBc5oJa

It blows my mind we get paid to tweet on this app now. pic.twitter.com/V1eXcjm9ze
However, there are certain catches, as detailed by X in its Help section.
As mentioned, eligible users will need to achieve more than 15 million tweet impressions in the past three months, previously over five million impressions in the preceding three months. Additionally, users must possess an active Twitter Blue subscription or Verified Organizations subscription. Furthermore, the account must maintain a follower count of at least 500 and the user must be at least 18 years old.
Interestingly, users can request withdrawals only for amounts exceeding $50. Presently, the sole available method for revenue withdrawal is through Stripe. Additional withdrawal options will be introduced at a later date.

While users have been sharing screenshots of the payouts, some users are flagging the negative aspects of paying creators simply based on impressions, irrespective of the quality of content.
Thank God! I'm not the one contributing to that guy earning lakhs of money from this app.

Also, Musk has ruined Twitter/X even more by monetizing impressions. Now, people will just tweet anything just to get engagement. https://t.co/qMRB3nU8hP
I think Twitter is paying Ad revenue to encourage more users to purchase the Twitter Blue ( X Premium ) program.

Twitter’s strategy is very simple, payout big influencers and turn them into Blue tick salesmen.

That’s the real revenue source.
Twitter doesn't have a media department (it used to send the poop emoji to press emails only until a few days ago), so there's no way to officially confirm the recent payouts.
