Company bosses are strengthening their cybersecurity, following an alarming increase in cyberattacks. According to a new study by cybersecurity and anti-virus major Kaspersky, more than three quarters (77 per cent) of companies in Asia Pacific (APAC) suffered at least one cyber incident in the last two years. One of the main reasons cited was the shortage of qualified IT security staff (24 per cent). Among other measures to strengthen cybersecurity, 57 per cent of respondents from the region claimed that their companies plan to invest in outsourcing cybersecurity in the next 12-18 months.

Music streaming giant Spotify announced it is planning to trim around 17 per cent of its overall workforce as a cost-cutting measure amid significantly slower economic growth.
