Soon, commuters in Delhi will be able to conveniently book bus tickets through WhatsApp, says a report by news agency PTI. The Transport Department, as mentioned in the PTI report and confirmed by city officials, is actively developing an online ticketing system for DTC and cluster buses. Much like the previously introduced WhatsApp ticketing system for Delhi Metro earlier, the upcoming digital ticketing solution aims to streamline the commuting experience. Commuters can bypass lengthy queues and the inconvenience of carrying cash or dealing with change. Additionally, this system will let users book bus tickets for friends and family in cases where they may be short on cash or lack funds.

Fitbit Fined $11 Million For 'Misleading' Its Users About Devices

The Australian Federal Court has directed Fitbit, owned by Google, to pay $11 million, as penalty. The fine was slapped as Fitbit confessed to providing false information to 58 consumers regarding their entitlement to a refund or replacement under consumer guarantee rights, the media has reported. Fitbit acknowledged that between November 2020 and February 2022, their customer service incorrectly informed 40 consumers that they were not eligible for a replacement due to the expiration of Fitbit's two-year "warranty period".

Infinix Smart 8 Plus In Works

After unveiling the Smart 8 HD smartphone in India, handset maker Infinix is currently working on another device in the Smart 8 series, the Infinix Smart 8 Plus. The phone's key specifications and design have been disclosed after it was spotted on the Google Play Console certification, where it was identified by the model number X6526. The Infinix Smart 8 Plus, as suggested by its Google Play Console listing, features a display resolution of 720x1,612 pixels and a screen density of 320 xhdpi. However, other specifications of the smartphone are currently undisclosed.

Corning's Rs 1,000 Crore Gorilla Glass Making Factory Coming Up In Tamil Nadu

Speciality glass-making giant Corning, also the official glass supplier for Apple, is setting up a a gorilla glass manufacturing facility in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The construction of the new plant is projected to involve an investment of up to Rs 1000 crore, said a report by The Economic Times on Tuesday, citing sources. Marking its inaugural entry into the Indian market, the company had initially planned to establish a factory in Telangana, as announced by the state government earlier this year. However, according to new report by ET, the company ultimately chose Tamil Nadu over Telangana, citing its closeness to other key Apple's contract manufacturers such as Foxconn and Pegatron.
