Riding on the back of new smartwatch launches in different shapes, designs, materials, finishes and with new features, the India wearables market witnessed a strong 53.3 per cent YoY (year-over-year) growth in the first half (H1) of 2023 and shipped 57.8 million units. The top three brands that dominated wearable shipments during this period include homegrown companies Boat and Noise, followed by Oppo at the third spot, says market research firm International Data Corporation (IDC).

X Corp Pulls Down More Than 23 Lakh Accounts In India In June-July
Taking note of the accounts that promote non-consensual nudity and child sexual exploitation, tech billionaire Elon Musk's X Corp, formerly Twitter, has pulled down more than 23 lakh accounts from the platform in June-July in India, says a report by news agency IANS. X banned 5,44,473 accounts in India between May 26-June 25 and a record 23,95,495 accounts in June-July. The micro-blogging platform pulled 1,772 accounts for promoting terrorism in the country.
Tecno Pova 5 And 5 Pro Announced In India
Handset maker Tecno announced its new Tecno Poca 5 and Tecno Pova 5 pro smartphones in India on Friday at the company's World of TECNOlogy event. The device would be launched in India next week and they were only showcased in the country today. A key highlight of the Pova series is the Pova 5 Pro which has an Arc interface with LED interface, similar to the Nothing Phone (2). The company also showcased its MEGABOOK laptop at the event in New Delhi. Both smartphones share a 6.78-inch 120Hz display, 256GB onboard storage and Android 13-based HiOS 13.1 OS.
