Tecno Pova 5 And 5 Pro Announced In India: Specs, Features And More

Handset maker Tecno announced its new Tecno Poca 5 and Tecno Pova 5 pro smartphones in India on Friday at the company's World of TECNOlogy event.

Handset maker Tecno announced its new Tecno Poca 5 and Tecno Pova 5 pro smartphones in India on Friday at the company's World of TECNOlogy event. The device would be launched in India next week and they were only showcased in the country today. A key highlight of the Pova series is the Pova 5 Pro which has an Arc interface with LED interface, similar to the Nothing Phone (2). The company also showcased its MEGABOOK laptop at the event in New Delhi. Both smartphones share a 6.78-inch 120Hz display, 256GB onboard storage and Android 13-based HiOS 13.1 OS.

Both devices have been unveiled globally and they have been unveiled in India now. This is the first-ever technology event by the handset maker in India and it would showcase futuristic products across all product lines and related AIoT categories to experience. This will be taken ahead to all tier I and tier II cities via the same concept during the upcoming festive season, the company has noted.

Tecno Pova 5 Pro And Pova 5 Specs, Features And Colours

The Tecno Pova 5 and the Pova 5 Pro prices would be announced on August 14 and both the devices would retail exclusively on Amazon.in. The Tecno Pova 5 does not have LED lights like the Nothing Phone (2) and it comes in three shades: Hurricane Blue, Mecha Black and Amber Gold. This model features an industry-first “3D Turbo Mecha” panel. The Pova 5 Pro comes with LED lights and comes in two colourways: Silver Fantasy and Dark Illusion. The patterns at the rear of the phone are also similar to the Nothing Phone (2).

The Tecno Pova 5 Pro has a 6.78-inch FHD+ 120Hz display and it is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 chipset. There are two 50MP AI cameras at the back and a 16MP front camera for selfies. The phone comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. There is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 68W fast charging. The phone runs HiOS 13.1 based on Android 13 OS. The Tecno Pova 5 also has the same set of specs albeit for a bigger 6,000mAh battery and an 8MP camera at the front.
