Ex-OpenAI CEO Sam Altman Joins Executives At Firm's HQ Amid Reports Of Return
Amid reports of his return, ex-OpenAI boss Sam Altman was clicked at the firm's headquarters as the company attempts to manage the current upheavals.
Two days after his ousting as the boss of OpenAI that created ChatGPT, Sam Altman was pictured at the company's headquarters, where he joined the executives, amid reports of his return to the firm. Altman and Greg Brockman, another co-founder who resigned as the company's president the same day, were invited to the company's San Francisco headquarters for talks by interim CEO Mira Murati, reported the BBC citing a report from tech news site The Information.
The former OpenAI boss took to X, formerly Twitter, and shared his photo holding a guest ID pass. "First and last time i ever wear one of these," he wrote.

The 38-year-old was dismissed by the company on Friday after the board said it had lost confidence in him. Following this, Greg Brockman also resigned as the President adding to the surprise that shook the tech world. Reuters reported that Altman's sacking has gone well with many current and former employees and worried them over how an upcoming $86 billion share sale could be affected by the sudden management changes.
It was reported earlier that Sam was already planning to launch a new venture before OpenAI fired him, and Brockman was expected to join him among other employees, hence, more resignations are expected in the coming days.
On Saturday, Altman took to X to share his views after he was sacked. "i loved my time at openai. it was transformative for me personally, and hopefully the world a little bit. most of all i loved working with such talented people. will have more to say about what’s next later," he said.
Greg Brockman also shared a message and said, "hi everyone, i'm super proud of what we've all built together since starting in my apartment 8 years ago. we've been through tough & great times together, accomplishing so much despite all the reasons it should have been impossible. but based on today's news, i quit. genuinely wishing you all nothing but the best. i continue to believe in the mission of creating safe AGI that benefits all of humanity,"
