Instagram New Feature: Meta Owned App Adds New Way For Interaction, Users Can Leave Notes On Reels & Posts
Notes in Reels and feed posts enable users to share instant reactions, post quick opinions, and engage in other activities in real time.
Instagram, Meta's photo-sharing app, is making its Notes feature bigger. Now, users can add Notes to Reels and posts in the app. Your followers can leave Notes through the messaging menu, offering a new way to interact with your friends' Reels and feed posts. This option works similarly for both types of posts. According to Social Media Today, these Notes are temporary and stay visible for three days. The report also mentions that only mutual followers can leave Notes on your Reels or posts.
Numerous teenagers have really liked using Notes. Instagram says teens create Notes ten times more often than non-teens. Initially, Notes were launched as a feature for direct messages, leaving conversation starters at the top of the message inbox in the app.

Instagram New Feature Details
Instagram was spotted testing this feature back in May. According to the report by Social Media Today, a screengrab that showcased this feature in testing read, "Add a note on content for your friends to see and they can reply to you directly with a message. Notes disappear after 3 days."
The report added, "The new feature comes as people continue to prioritise more private interactions with their mutuals and Close Friends, on IG, with early testing of the feature showing that people are enjoying the ability to leave quick thoughts and commentary on Notes for friends and mutuals to see, especially on comedic content."
Notes in Reels and feed posts enable users to share instant reactions, post quick opinions, and engage in other activities in real time. Additionally, the company introduced a new Multi Audio Tracks feature for Reels, allowing users to include up to 20 tracks in a single reel and synchronize audio and elements during editing.
