Unlike the time-consuming feat it might be for a human to tackle Leo Tolstoy's "War and Peace," this new AI model can process such massive works in mere minutes, reports Reuters, which could be a significant leap forward in AI capabilities.

The upgrade, announced by Alphabet, Google's parent company, signifies a substantial improvement in AI technology, allowing users to prompt the AI to scrutinise an extensive array of content, including 30,000 lines of code, 11 hours of audio, and even an entire hour of video, all in a single query. This advancement, particularly evident in the Pro version of the model, enables the processing of up to 1 million tokens, surpassing competitors like Anthropic's Claude 2.1 technology by fivefold.
